Synthesis and Scale Inhibiting Performance of CopolymerAA-SAS
Abstract��A copolymer Inhibitor of acrylic acid-sodium allylsulfonate(AA-SAS)was synthesized with water as the solvent,��persulfate as the Initiator and acrylic acid(AA)and sodium allylsulfonate (SAS)as themonomers.the effects of proportioning of monomers,��quantny of Initiator.temperature of reaction system andconditioning agent ogmolecular wEight on the anti-scaling performance of the copolymer were evaluated. The resuits show that the said copolymer has a threshold effect on inhibiting the scaling of Ca3(PO4)2 and its scale inhibition efficiency is about 97% when the dosage of it is higher than 12 mg/L.
