��Abstract: The effects of 9 typical water treatment chemicals in common use presently on deposit control and dispersion were studied through static deposit control tests.The results of the tests show that the concentration of the fed treatment agent,the calcium hardness,alkalinity,turbidity and iron concentration of water as well as biocides have different effects on the deposit control and dispersion results of different types of water treatment agents and ,therefore,the conditions for the use of water treatment agents should be determined depending upon the types of the water treament agents.
