The heavy metal absorption effect of ochre from the simulated wastewater was conducted by the orthoganal design and the effects of pH, ochre amount and shake time on the heavy metal absorption were analyzed��The results showed that ochre had high absorbing efficiency to Pb, Cd, Mn, Zn, Cr, Ni under certain pH, ochre amount and shake time��The maximum removal rates of Pb��Cd,��Mn,��Zn��Cr all can reach 100%, Ni can reach 89.63%, which are under the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard of China��The influencing effect of different factors on Mn, Zn, Cr absorption were in the order of pH��ochre amount��shake time��Ni and Cd were in the order of ochre amount��pH��shake time, Pb was pH��shake time��ochre amount��The optimum absorption conditions of heavy metal from wastewater by ochre were ochre amount 40 g/L, pH 10��10.5, 2 hours shake time��
